Rent English Cottages and Save

Our cottage rental near Bath
Save money and see the real England by renting a cottage - some centuries old and most tucked away in quaint English villages.
Over the years, the wife and I have rented cottages in various parts of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland and have never been disappointed. The picture above is of an oak timber framed, thatched roof, 17th century cottage we rented near the city of Bath.
We try to locate our cottages out of the big cities – we prefer small villages so we can join our neighbours at their “local” for pub lunches and after dinner socializing. As far as the big cities, we found that taking the train into London for the day and a show at night then back to the cottage, is cheaper than staying at a London Hotel.
Cottages prices vary depending on the season but this two bedroom cottage will rent from $892.00US to $1,100 US for seven nights and if you are travelling with another couple - $64 a night is a bargain in the UK
On a two week or three week holiday, we would rent a different cottage each week allowing us to tour a dissimilar section of the country.
If you Goggle –“English cottage rentals” – you’ll fink a host of links, but the rental outfit we use can be found here - English Country Cottages - we have no commercial affiliation with this company, it’s just that we never had any problems.
